A good idea to give the pupils a change of scenery is to take them on an excursion. In this case, it has occurred to me that an activity I myself did when I was little and which involved a lot of cross-curricular content and in particular, geometry was an outing to the Alhambra where we were able to contemplate numerous mosaics. Well then, I think that an interesting idea could be to go on this excursion and, in groups, take photos of the geometric shapes they find, with special emphasis on the mosaics. After that, in the next maths session, they will take the photographs they have taken and create their own mosaics based on what they have seen. Later, the different compositions will be shared and used to decorate the classroom.
